Unified Rivalry Series

Special Olympics’ Unified Rivalry Series takes inclusion to the next level! College students across the United States join forces with Special Olympics athletes to take on their rival schools in fierce, respectful competition. The Unified Rivalry Series unites people with and without intellectual disabilities on the playing field and helps foster an inclusive culture on college campuses through sport. In August 2018, college clubs from Notre Dame and University of Michigan joined Special Olympics athletes for a game of flag football. Honorary coaches Desmond Howard and Mike Golic Jr. cheered on their teams in the most inclusive competition in the rivalry’s history.
