Game Changers: Puerto Rico

In times of tragedy, Special Olympics Programs persevere and provide support for people with and without intellectual disabilities by unifying the community through the power of sport. In September 2017, Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico and left many without homes, electricity, or the means to survive. SO Puerto staff, athletes, and families of Special Olympics Puerto Rico came together to support one another as the island slowly recovered from the damage. Follow Special Olympics Puerto Rico as they unite their community with their unshakeable spirit and the joy of sport!
