Kester Edwards

Kester has been a force of nature ever since he first joined the Special Olympics movement and his determination continues to help our organization evolve and break new ground. At the age of seven, Kester Edwards was run over by a bicycle that put him in a coma for weeks and changed his life forever. For years Kester was taunted and bullied for having an intellectual disability, but he found joy and purpose through sports with Special Olympics Trinidad and Tobago. Determined to make his mark on the world, Kester introduced his favorite sport, open water swimming, to the global Special Olympics movement.
